    We are looking for a talented Senior Business intelligence Analyst to join our team

    • Responsible for the preparation of complex and interpretive sales and financial analyses and reports for their manager, the sales force, sales management, and general management.
    • Gathers reporting requirements and analyzes data to provide recurring and ad hoc reports to the sales organization.
    • Performs quality assurance and tests conclusions to ensure validity the analysis.
    • Uses in-depth knowledge of sales and business processes to identify business challenges.
    • Leverages data and analytics to provide or propose solutions to drive business growth.
    • Uses globally standardized and/or custom business intelligence dashboards and report formats to support sales teams and business performance metrics.
    • Documents and/or cross-trains other team members to support recurring analysis and reporting processes.
    • Delivers recurring reports and/or analyses to internal customers on time.
    • Interprets data accurately and draws accurate conclusions what the data means and who in the business needs to get the resulting information.
    • Uses existing BI tools and reporting databases with the purpose of understanding or making conclusions from the data for decision making purposes.
    • Contributes to low or medium complexity analytics reports such as sales force organizational planning, sales force sizing recommendations, territory size, market coverage, cost analysis, or predictive analytics. Works with
    • stakeholders across Sales Operations and the business to understand business intelligence analysis needs of end users.
    • Continually improves the usability of analyses to support decision-making.
    • Plans and manages development of selected projects to enhance business intelligence capabilities: design, budget, communication, and integration with current business intelligence capabilities.
    • Communicates status, risks and expected delivery to manager and/or sales region requester.
    • Teaches/coaches or directs the analyst on use of the business intelligence tools/techniques and how to communicate and present data in a way that is understandable in the business.

    • Data Mining - Extracts insights from data by identifying relationships and patterns through use of a suite of data exploration and data visualization techniques to understand the underlying structure of the data and enable sound conclusions upon model building.
    • Data Quality - Identifies, understands and corrects flaws in data that supports effective information governance across operational business processes and decision making.
    • Project Management - Establishes and maintains the balance of scope, schedule and resources for a temporary effort (a "project").
    • Adapts to target audience - Explains complex topics (significant technical data, subject matter expertise, etc.) in such a way that the target audience (e.g. sales professionals, customers, training vendors, etc.) can understand, retain, and use the information

    Education, Licenses, Certifications

    • Bachelors degree in Sales, Marketing or Business with a quantitative emphasis required. Knowledge of statistics preferred. Data Sciences degree preferred.This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

    Experience

    • Experience using a variety of business intelligence tools and techniques required. Experience using at least one advanced analytics tool required, e.g., machine language (R), AI, Einstein, etc. Demonstrated ability to correctly analyze data and develop clear and accurate conclusions required. Experience in sales or supporting a sales organization preferred.Ability to manage all aspects of small Projects including: Planning, Execution, Monitoring, Controlling and Closure.
    • Proficiency with Power BI, Salesforce and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software.
    • Ability to produce a Project Variance Report.
    • Advanced Skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Fluency in French is highly desirable, but not mandatory.
    • Preferred location: Calgary.
    • Alternative locations: Surrey, Mississauga, Candiac.
