Objective & Overview
Promote and manage the sale of Ready Mix Concrete, cultivating new customers and opportunities within a designated geographic region while supporting existing accounts as they navigate projects within the overall Innocon commercial service area.
The incumbent will develop and sustain a business strategy designed to gain or protect market share to grow revenue, promote Value Added products, provide technical support and assist in the territory's marketing, community engagement and sales efforts within their designated region.
In this position, the representative needs to know their local geography, the customers, the competition, specification writers, testing professionals and any other industry related persons.
Developing relationships with these people will allow the representative to get involved with their businesses and create opportunities for sales.
Responsibilities
- Health and Safety_:
- Sales & Marketing Business Cycle_:
Keep information pertaining to market share, selling price, job closings, customer segmentation, etc and use this information to price projects with the ongoing supervision of the Commercial Manager.
Track and report all jobs won or lost and follow market share. Responsible for growth in profitability for his or her portfolio.:
Proficient in utilizing and maximizing our digital tools to understand, communicate, organize, report, promote, all aspects of their activities to all internal and external stakeholders.
:Creates clear business strategy for key accounts (e.g. increase share, account penetration, protect existing base, etc.) and market trends and needs.
- Value Added Products (VAP)_:
Help customers obtain concrete information and strengthen customer relations through value added marketing and branded products to make company supplier of choice.
- Customer Orientation_:
Communicate with customers about any concrete irregularities and with the help of various Lafarge support staff, solve the issue to both parties satisfaction.
Process customer project contracts to ensure proper pricing for correct mixes to avoid charge backs and unhappy customers. Assist in any quality control. concerns with customers and resolve in a timely manner.- Communication_:
- Reporting, Budgeting & Forecasting_:
- Relationship with Others_
- Reports directly to _Regional Key Accounts and Commercial Manager_
- Works closely with entire sales organization including other Sales Reps
- Works closely with QC and operations personnel
- Works in conjunction with Credit, Quality Assurance & Customer Service Department to further overall Sales performance.
- Specific Accountabilities_
- Manage price, volume, market share for the assigned territory of the Greater Toronto Area
- Promote Value Added and branded mixes sales
- Work closely with our VAP Representative to uncover new mix performance indicators
- Customer satisfaction by continuous follow up and interaction to ensure expectations are met
- Manage account portfolio via customer relationship management tool
- Monthly forecasting for project volume projections
- Intimate knowledge of green zones delivery and service areas for serviceability effectiveness (Customer Satisfaction)

- Reporting to the Area Sales & Key Accounts Manager
- Area Annual Volume ambition of 1,300,000m
- Customer base of 200 plus
- Geography GTA and Toronto proper
Qualification Profile
- Education and Work Experience_
- The incumbent should have post secondary education, preferably in marketing, business administration, economics, communications or civil engineering technician.
- Ideally, a strong background in sales 5 to 10 years of experience with a proven track record of strong performance
- Knowledge and Skills_
- An indepth knowledge of the construction industry is an asset
- Experienced using sales CRM automation tools
- Salesforce preferred.
- Concrete product knowledge a valuable asset.
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic understanding of sales and psychological techniques is needed.
- Bilingualism an asset.
- Valid driving license and clean record.

Salary:
$75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
