We are currently growing our Data Integration (DI) team who are key members of the SDLC responsible for the day-to-day support of our data integration software and infrastructures both on premise and in the Cloud.

In this role there is the opportunity to bring skills to the table as well as learn on the job.

What are the product infrastructures we support

  • Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS)
  • Informatica PowerCenter, PowerExchange CDC
  • Trillium (Discovery, Quality (mainframe and server))
  • IBM InfoSphere (DataStage, QualityStage, Information Service Director)
  • SAP PowerDesigner
  • IBM z/OS mainframe tools (FOCUS, APL, QMF)

What does a Data Integration Infrastructure Analyst do?
You will join a dedicated team of Infrastructure Analysts whose primary responsibilities are the administration and management of our Data Integration software and hardware in a manner that we can utilize technology to drive our data objectives:

  • Monitoring and tuning supported technologies to ensure they are operational, stable, and high performing
  • Providing technical support for supported technologies
  • Leading and managing the installation, configuration, and upgrades of supported technologies
  • Supporting recurring infrastructure patching (OS, network, etc.)
  • Building and maintaining product roadmaps:
  • Gathering architecture and resource requirements to meet business needs for existing and future data integration and data governance activities
  • Monitoring trends and analysing and evaluating evolving technologies in the data utilities space for potential adoption
  • Managing access using Active Directory, Linux, and vendor product tools
  • Setting up data source and target connectivity via ODBC, JDBC, and other protocols
  • Ensuring project deliverables are of good quality and delivered on time and within budget
  • Ensuring information delivery standards and guidelines are followed
  • Collaboration with business teams, other technical teams, and external vendors for troubleshooting, system implementation, and migration
  • Automation of routine and/or repetitive tasks using DevOps tools
  • Ensuring systems can be recovered in accordance with the
    Business Continuity Plan and participating in
    Sun Life Disaster Recovery tests
  • Participating in rotational oncall operational support, including afterhours support

Preferred Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
