Telebyte Communications has an exciting job opportunity for a Business Development Manager based out of Red Deer, Alberta.


This role will be responsible for developing new accounts, maintaining relationships with key accounts, and providing implementation support to our Structure Cabling & Fiber Optics division.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales:


  • Using professional selling skills, generate leads for Telebyte's cabling division.
  • Seek out new opportunities both within the current customer base and search for outside opportunities.
  • Achieve or exceed planned sales levels for the division, in partnership with management and technicians.

Quoting:


  • Analyze proposals, drawings and specifications to prepare quotes with accurate labor, material, and time requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain a list of suppliers, contractors and subtrades and negotiate with them to obtain most competitive and profitable prices.

Customer Service:


  • Liaise between client and the technicians' team through all stages of the project.
  • Keep customers informed as to status of orders and shipment dates.
  • Identify and communicate any project scope changes such as cost and schedule.
  • Review project costs and forecast with stakeholders and coordinate Change Orders as required.
  • Analyze completed projects to compare estimated costs to actual costs and determine the reason for any discrepancies.

Internal:


  • Adhere to and enforce all HSE policies and procedures.
  • Continually improve selling skills through participation in training and seminars and customer feedback
  • Offer management ideas and suggestions for process improvement.
  • Keep up to date knowledge of structured cabling industry.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated ability to work at peak performance in keeping the team focus, goals and forecast in the forefront.
  • Knowledge of sales operations processes including, quotes, orders, and reporting processes
  • Experience and understanding of structured cable components. (Cat 5E, Cat 6, Cat 6A, Fiber Optic)
  • Able to read and interpret telecommunication drawings and specifications
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Attention to detail and can produce customerspecific documentation

Salary:
From $65,000.00 per year
