Shipper/Receiver - Full Time

ASDAC Machining & Fabricating is looking for another member to join our amazing team.

ASDAC has been in business for over 27 years - serving both Canadian and
International companies in a variety of industries such as Aerospace, Wineries, Food,
Oil & Gas, Robotics, Custom homes and more. We constantly strive to provide only the highest level of workmanship and service to exceed customers' expectations.


Shipping:

• Deburring, cleaning, counting and packaging of goods.
• Provide a "Last line of Defense" by visually inspecting goods for shipments as you pack them.
• Ensuring required paperwork is in each shipment in an orderly fashion.
• Preparing Way bills and Arranging Pickups.
• Completing books and transferring goods to stock with required paperwork.
• Coordinating with QC to ensure product gets signed off before shipments leave
• Communication with Purchasing with products and quantities shipping each day.
• Maintain a clean and organized shipping office and stock room and yard.

Receiving:

• Inspect all incoming product for damage
• Match up incoming paperwork with expected product and quantities and hand in to purchasing.
• Count, measure and allocate to job numbers and move materials/parts to designated staging areas.
• Stock checks issued from purchasing or management.
• Releasing books and tags on scheduling board as shipments arrive

Materials Handling & General Duties:

• Daily shop cleanup
• Driving/Errands
• Saw cut and allocate materials to jobs
• Maintain an organized shop yard and material rack/crop storage.
• Deburring, Laser Etching and other finishing work as required.
• Manage chip recycling bins to be emptied by our supplier as needed.

Competencies:

• A valid driver's license with a clean driving extract.
• Forklift certification or we will provide the training.
• Experience with basic hand tools.
• Basic math and measuring skills
• High attention to detail.
• Good organizational skills.
• Works well independently and with a team.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong ethic.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Bonus:

• Experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Experience hauling flat deck trailer.

$18.00-$25.00 per hour
