Description

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions and initiatives company wide.

The Human Resources Assistant will act as the first point of contact for HR related queries from employees and external partners.


Job duties:


  • Maintain personnel records, manage documents and update internal databases
  • Assist in talent acquisition and the fullcycle recruitment processes
  • Assist with employee onboarding
  • Help schedule and monitor employee training and development
  • Provide support to employees in various HR related issues
  • Identify and implement ways to improve policies and procedures
  • Assist in administration of Temporary Foreign Worker Program
  • Provide support for health and safety policies, programs, training and initiatives
  • Contribute in special projects as assigned by the HR team
  • Escalate issues and concerns to the Director of HR or HR Coordinator

Skills Required:


  • Post-Secondary degree/diploma in a Human Resources Management or a related field required
years of experience in Human Resources

  • Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations with a strong knowledge of hiring processes an asset
  • Sound judgment and problemsolving skills
  • Customer focused attitude with a high level of professionalism and discretion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, HRIS systems required

Knowledge of Spanish language and/or willingness to learn is an asset
