    Accountable to collaborate with internal partners to identify new business opportunities and provide superior technical expertise to advisors and customers to price the risk appropriately.

    Qualify underwriting files by understanding the needs and risk characteristics of the customer, ensuring benefits from both top-line and profitability perspectives.

    Act as a point of escalation for more junior underwriters to refer risks within established authority levels

    Maintain the quality and profitability of the portfolio and refer all risks outside of established authority levels to the appropriate approver for review and actioning.

    Provide insights on market research and analysis, develop business cases for pricing, coverage and product improvements.
    Help identify areas of concern regarding loss ratios, risk trends or other discrepancies
    Participate in Quality Reviews and audits as required.
    Undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications, designations, or equivalent required
    ~10+ years relevant experience in commercial insurance
