Essential Functions:


  • Take care of the daytoday management of the legal affairs of the Company and its subsidiaries
  • Experienced in drafting and reviewing contractual agreements and other legal documents, including shareholder agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and corporate financings
  • Supervise Law Clerks
  • Provide assistance to stakeholders with respect to various annual and other filings with regulators in both Canadian and international jurisdictions
  • Provide information, support and direction to outside counsel representing the Company in litigation and other matters
  • Work with management and external counsel on intellectual property related matters, as may be required from time to time

Requirements:


  • Ability to run corporate law files independently
  • Ability to complete transactions from start to finish
  • Selfstarter and ability to work independently under mínimal supervision
  • Experience drafting legal documents
  • Legal Research skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, work under pressure and work as a flexible team player
  • Strong work ethic
  • Excellent analytic, legal drafting, oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Education:


  • A University degree in Law
  • Member of the Bar Association of any of the Canadian provinces or territories.

Work Experience:


  • Between 23years of experience as a lawyer in corporate or commercial law gained in private practice or as inhouse counsel.

Salary:
$140,000.00-$160,000.00 per year
