    Responsibilities

  • Support Sales team by pricing quotes on new business opportunities for warehousing, LTL, TL transportation and parcel deliveries.
  • Keep Customer Pricing and Tariffs up to date taking into account any business changes, Currency rates fluctuations, rate increases etc.
  • Lead the Pricing for all major RFPs: co-ordinate with Sales, Operations and BI teams as well as sister companies to consolidate the pricing response.
  • Participate in drafting solutions to large proposals that involves milk runs, hub and spoke, routes and network optimization.
  • Look for ways to improve current quote process/costing models by standardizing templates, eliminating manual work and automating workflows to avoid errors and improve accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain pricing models, tools and databases to support data driven pricing decisions.
  • Understand industry trends, economic indicators, competition, regulatory changes and external factors to assess its impact on pricing.
  • Analyze key cost drivers and identify areas for cost improvements and efficiency gains.
  • Develop and maintain pricing strategy to improve the "win %" on spot quotes, RFPs etc.
  • Assess profitability and contribution margin by terminal/warehouse, customer, lanes to assist business leaders make sound decisions.
  • Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of previous experience in a similar role with a deep understanding of Logistics/ 3PL/Supply Chain operations is a must.
  • Previous experience in pricing LTL, TL, Warehousing, Courier opportunities is essential.
  • Demonstrated skills in reading, evaluating, synthesizing, and formulating innovative solutions to complex RFPs to meet cost effectively meet customer needs is required.
  • Strong grasp on Excel, data analysis tools. Working knowledge of SQL is a plus.
  • Previous background in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Business/Data Analysis, Supply Chain/Network Optimization is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with warehouse and transportation management systems, routing applications, Labour Management Systems is a plus.
  • Previous Lean, Project Management and/or Six Sigma experience/certification preferred.
