AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, HR Integration and Innovation, this role provides program and administrative support to the Corporate project - Policy & Liaison team, assisting in day-to-day duties.
This role will support the policy team in preparing reports, presentations, policy guides and templates and supports the coordination and tracking of policy.
- Respond to customer inquiries/concerns and provide information regarding programs and services, and escalates to appropriate City staff as required
- Assist and collaborate on sectional programs and special projects
- Provide administrative support including physical and electronic filing, preparing memos and formatting reports
- Maintain records, documentation, and prepare reports as required
- Process online forms and provide support on sectional workflow procedures
- Assist with data entry and tracking, and maintain data integrity
- Maintain an understanding of department programs and services
- Understand and adhere to Corporate Policies & Procedures, Confidentiality Guidelines, Emergency Procedures and Health and Safety Standards
- Attend meetings/training as required
- Work well within diverse groups in support of operational goals and objectives.
- Demonstrate corporate values at all times.
- Participate as a member of crossfunctional team.
- Provide support/backup as necessary.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
- Working towards a degree or diploma in Business Administration, Political Science, Public Administration, Law or equivalent or a similar discipline, or have a related experience or interest.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of corporate policy specific principles
- Effective customer service skills and communication skills
- Effective time management and organizational skills
