Working for the City of Mississauga means you are part of something big Working for the City of Mississauga means you are part of something big Come and explore the natural areas in the City this summer Take part in city-wide maintenance and monitoring of natural restoration sites helping to shape Mississaugas green future Support city staff in coordinating volunteers for tree planting projects fostering collaboration while ensuring health and safety Assist in preparing insightful reports creating maps that track restoration progress efforts and invasive species management Help administer forestry-related contracts gaining exposure to municipal operations project management Water young trees in parklands ensure healthy establishment long-term survival Conduct site visits inspections collecting analyzing ecological data turning observations into actionable insights Implement hands-on invasive species control methods using manual removal techniques Operate small tools landscaping equipment building practical skills for future environmental work Other duties as assigned Must be enrolled as a full-time post-secondary student accepted into one by September or January Ability to perform strenuous tasks outdoors rough terrain adverse weather conditions Strong organizational skills Ability to work with minimal supervision Possess Green Patch CSA approved safety boots Hold Emergency First Aid CPR Level C Certification
