Junior Purchaser - Edmonton, Canada - Western Drug Distribution Center

We are looking for a Full Time Junior Purchaser to join our team. WDDC is a growing, dynamic company that has been distributing products to Veterinarians across Western Canada since 1983.

This entry level position provides support to the Purchasing Team who purchase products through multiple suppliers while managing the stock levels of our two warehouse locations in Edmonton and Winnipeg.

Job duties will include:

• Assist the Purchasing team with daytoday duties
• Assist in procurement of products for the Edmonton and Winnipeg Warehouses.
• Assist in stock forecasting using seasonal trends, current trends, and analysis, while managing inventory levels, through internally developed software.
• Ensure all supplier, item, and pricing information is loaded complete, correctly and is maintain on an ongoing basis.
• Ensure that all member/customer inquiries and concerns are dealt with in a timely, consistent and professional manor.
• Interacting with product suppliers and other WDDC departments to solve product/purchasing requests.
• Maintain the purchasing files. (Vendor information, product descriptions, pricing, product images)
• Help with Marketing programs when required

• Detail Oriented, and can work both in a Team environment and independently
• Knowledgeable in veterinarian and pharmaceutical products
• Strong understanding of business fundamentals, including marketing, finance, and supply chain
