The Marketing Coordinator - Events will support the Events team with day-to-day logístical planning, co-ordination of trade show requirements, collaborating with multiple event vendors, and help with additional administrative tasks related to the successful design, planning and orchestration of all sized events, including local and international B2B tradeshows.

What the job is all about:
With day-to-day guidance provided by the Marketing Manager - Events, the Marketing Coordinator - Events will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining the whereabouts of the Ross Marketing kits
  • Maintaining and updating the Event Calendar
  • Coordinating Event requirements following Ross' internal process
  • Provide event support before, during and after events
  • Coordinating, ordering, and managing the inventory of staff clothing and promotional materials
  • Handling Event logistics including physically packing shipments, coordinating shipments, and creating international customs documentation
  • Facilitating internal communication of preshow Event details, and managing postevent tracking and budget followup for assigned events
  • Travel, as required, to local and international events, to support onsite

Who you are:


  • A college diploma or undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Events Management or similar is not required, but would be considered an asset to this role
  • Foundational knowledge of Events Management best practices
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing deadlines
  • Wellorganized with strong attention to detail
  • Strong and professional communicator, both inperson and in writing
  • Valid Driver's License and Passport, plus a desire and willingness to travel internationally for multiple days at a time
  • Enthusiastic communicator with internal and external stakeholders such as regional sales team members and Ross customers
  • Demonstrated ability to handle high pressure situations with diplomacy and tact
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects with mínimal direction
  • Ability to multitask and quickly reprioritize workload as changes happen on the fly
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong aptitude for learning new tools and any exposure to work management platforms such as Asana and digital marketing
  • A genuine passion for the technology industry and progressing a career in Events Management

  • This is a Hybrid role working partially from home office, with regular workfromoffice duties at our office locations across Ottawa (Nepean and Kanata)
  • Capable of lifting parcels and equipment up to approximately 30 pounds
