Purpose:
To
provide coordination, administration coordination, and planning for the Experiential Learning Office


Nature of Work:

The University of Saskatchewan's College of Pharmacy and Nutrition's Experiential Learning (EL) Office is responsible for organizing and overseeing all EL placements in the PharmD program.

EL allows students to_ _learn through action.

Through real-world practice experience, students have opportunities to reinforce, apply, and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required of contemporary pharmacy practice in a variety of settings.

The EL Office provides support to both students and preceptors and is responsible for preceptor development and training.

Reporting to the Associate Director, the successful applicant will function with a high level of independence, decision-making, and accountability.

This position also requires short, medium, and long-term planning, and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of team members, colleagues, external stakeholders, and preceptors.

The applicant will need to demonstrate a high standard of service and communication.


Accountabilities:


  • Coordinate and maintain student and preceptor profiles, requirements, and placement schedules
  • Coordinate and maintain student and preceptor evaluations
  • Coordinate and maintain preceptor/site contracts
  • Compile and present data for reporting
  • Manage and support the EL learning management system (CORE) for both pharmacy and nutrition students
  • Provide respectful, timely communication with students, stakeholders, and preceptors
  • Assist in the design, management, and maintenance of the EL website
  • Manage educational event coordination and planning
  • Complete budget forecasting, stipend payments, and other financial duties
  • Contribute to a respectful, collaborative, and productive team culture
  • General office administrative duties

Education:
A relevant undergraduate is required. A graduate degree would be considered an asset. A combination of education and experience will be considered.


Experience:
Each of the following would be considered an asset:

  • Experience working within a post-secondary and/or healthcare related environment
  • Knowledge of University of Saskatchewan policies, procedures, as well as, Canvas, CORE ELMS, SurveyMonkey, and Cascade
  • Exceptional working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Kofax
  • Marketing or social media training or experience
  • Experience with website development and maintenance
Experience working and collaborating in diverse and inclusive settings is required
