    Team Rubicon Canada (TR Canada) is seeking a Manager, Information Technology and Information Management . You are passionate about building technology solutions that enable teams to solve complex, dynamic problems in austere and resource-constrained environments. Reporting to the Vice President, Organizational Excellence, you will be crucial in planning, implementing, and overseeing our information technology (IT) and information management (IM) portfolio. As the Manager, IT/IM, you will manage the organization's technology infrastructure, ensuring its effectiveness, security, and alignment with our mission. You will also research, evaluate, and implement IT/IM solutions for the organization.

This position can be a hybrid with some requirements for in-person duties in our Mississauga Headquarters. Travel is required during domestic and international disaster response operations.

    Duties:

    • Develop and execute strategic plans for the organization's IT and IM needs, in alignment with TR Canada's mission and goals.
    • Oversee IT/IM systems, networks, and software implementation and maintenance, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability.
    • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and platforms to improve the organization's efficiency, effectiveness, and innovation.
    • Establish and enforce IT/IM policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance, security, and data integrity.
    • Manage IT budgets, resources, and vendor relationships effectively to optimize costs and maximize value.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and leverage this knowledge to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
    • Collaborate closely with the Field Technology team to understand and address Field Operations technology needs, and guide in the development of timely support and solutions.
    • Mentor and advise Field Technology team members, ensuring adherence with IT/IM policies, procedures, and best practices.
    • Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, and Team Rubicon USA IT/IM professionals, translating business requirements into technical solutions to ensure high performance and growth.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to data privacy, accessibility, and relevant industry standards.
    • Lead initiatives related to process optimization and staff training to ensure the department remains agile and responsive to changing organizational needs.
    • Assist in grant writing and proposal development by providing technical expertise and articulating how technology initiatives align with funding priorities and organizational goals.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a holistic view governs the overall IT/IM architecture and that solutions support cross-functional organizational goals.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Experience and Background

    • Bachelor's degree (in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Post-graduate education is an asset.
    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT leadership or management roles, with a demonstrated ability to lead teams and projects effectively.
    • Strong technical expertise in IT systems, networks, and software, with a solid understanding of industry best practices and emerging technologies.
    • Experience working in a non-profit or humanitarian organization is advantageous.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve goals.
    • Proven track record of managing budgets, resources, and vendor relationships to optimize costs and deliver results.
    • Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, MCSE, or relevant vendor certifications are beneficial.
    • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset and a focus on continuous improvement.
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Professional experience withAsana Project Management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

    Job Type:

    • Full-time, salary
    • Pay range: $70,000 to $85,000
