Lead Technology Manager, Data Platforms

AVP, Data & Integration Platforms

Work Arrangements:

We are currently working remotely, and we will be moving to a hybrid model when our office renovation is complete (approximately November 2023), coming into the office a minimum of 2 days per week, every other week on designated days.


What you will be doing:


  • Own Platform assets: Sets technical vision and roadmap for assigned assets within a platform to support and enhance business outcomes; Own the technical roadmap and deliver milestones for assigned assets by working closely with business, development, operations teams and Technical Platform Owner; Monitor, steward and advance the technical health and performance of assigned assets; Works with architects to develops the technology capability roadmap of assigned assets; Manage the lifecycle of vendor platforms and overall vendor relationships
  • Lead Solution Development or Service practices or processes: Enable and guide team to deliver high quality solutions and/or services in a sustainable and optimized manner; Identify, document, continuously improve, and implement endtoend software/service development, quality, delivery, and support processes; Accountable to ensure technical standards, guidelines, and principles are upheld by team; Own the technology KPIs and prioritization of assigned assets
  • Leadership: Exhibit a sense of urgency over matters that pertain to a broad range of individual, team, and organizational responsibilities by taking decisive action; Show an appreciation for the contributions, capabilities, and achievements of others; Achieve expected results, both directly and indirectly through others, and demonstrate ownership of personal and team outcomes, Lead by example; model and promote a culture of respect, fairness, and trust; Involve others in planning and executing, and in so doing, gains their buyin; Coach and develop others through the delivery of timely and constructive feedback; Generate excitement, enthusiasm, and commitment in people by translating the organization's vision, mission and values into terms that are relevant to the work being performed; Change leadership, leading cross functional team members through periods of uncertainty and ambiguity
  • Team Talent Management: Set direction and vision for the team; hiring, coaching, recognizing, mentoring and performance managing team members; Hold team members accountable for deliverables and highquality work; Coordinate team member activities; Monitor team productivity, quality, and morale; Spearhead and guide team through process implementation and changes.
  • Client Experience: Achieve service commitments by balancing efficiency and quality and by proposing viable solutions to minimize or eliminate obstacles; demonstrate empathy when faced with client concerns and issues; Act as a brand ambassador by demonstrating knowledge and leveraging resources to meet clients' needs; seek to understand root causes of recurring issues and implement solutions to prevent recurrences, professional, respectful, and courteous in all interactions with clients, stay up to date with changing regulations/policies to ensure clients' best interests are met
