***: Reporting to the Controller, the Data Entry Clerk is responsible for supporting all day-to-day data entry and basic bookkeeping functions along with administrative support where required. This position requires attention to detail and accurate work within set month-end cut-off procedures. You must be able to take direction from both Management and the Controller and be able to meet monthly deadlines each month. You must possess a keen drive for learning new things and overcoming challenges where required.


The role provides a wide variety of data entry and administrative tasks that will broaden your skill set and help build a strong foundation for your accounting career.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Duties include but are not limited to:

Data Entry Responsibilities

  • Be able to work proficiently in QuickBooks Desktop
  • Daily data entry to keep company's bookkeeping up to date
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Accounts payable/Accounts Receivable functions
  • Item list set up/management
  • Payroll data entry (Cross training)
  • Request backup documentation (invoice copies, bank statements)
  • Enter overhead invoices
  • Post credit card transactions and complete credit card reconciliations
  • Understanding of how to post job costing and journal entries
  • Manage holdbacks/retention accounts
  • Track down missing costs for the month
  • Be able to build supporting reports in Excel
Be able to type 50-60 words per minute


Salary:
$37,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
