  • We are looking for an outstandingly versatile and passionate Manager Market Fundamentals to join our Liquids Pipelines Strategy & Fundamentals group
  • In this exciting role you will lead a small team supporting BD & Commercial in the identification, development, advancement and execution of growth and business strategies to improve LP's market value and protect LP's franchise.
  • What you will do


  • Strategy

  • Understand and analyze longterm global & north American demand, supply and pricing fundamentals, including the impact of energy reliability, affordability & transition scenarios, and how these fundamentals and scenarios could impact our assets, growth and market value.
  • Scrutinize thirdparty forecasts and scenarios, gain an understanding of why these forecasts are different and more meaningfully how they could impact LP's growth and operating business strategies.
  • Business Development
  • Work collaboratively with Business Development to provide critical & timely analysis of growth opportunities, including potential markets assessments and forecasting the value of uncontracted capacity.
  • Analyze and evaluate LP's pipeline competitors, including forecasting uncontracted flows and pricing on these pipelines and, based on longterm market fundamentals, recommending competitive strategies.
  • Commercial
  • Lead budget, shortterm and longterm scenario planning and analysis encompassing all volumetric aspects of LP, with a specific focus on WCSB & Bakken Supply and Pipeline network.
  • Analyze different markets for Enbridge's assets and understand how crude prices are set globally, and in & between these different markets, and forecast these differentials.
  • Management Briefs
  • Monitor global and North American crude oil markets and provide management briefs and analysis to support Executive Management, Commercial and Business Development.
  • Who you are:
  • You have the following qualifications and skills:
  • Degree in Economics, Business or Engineering.-
  • More than 10 years of dynamically responsible and related experience in the mid-stream industry.-
  • Strong communication skills and leadership experience.-
  • Strong critical thinking and business analytical skills, market insight; communication and influence skills, business & financial savvy, and creativity to develop innovative solutions.-
  • Strong computer modeling and mathematical skills for fundamentals projections/analysis.
  • Preferred
  • Post-graduate Commerce degree or a related field would be considered an asset.-
  • Background or curiosity in Low Carbon fundamentals also considered an asset.
