OpTalent is partnering with a leading HVAC service organization to recruit a high-performing Outside Sales Representative focused on driving growth through preventative maintenance programs.
This role is ideal for a true hunter—someone who thrives on opening doors, building relationships from the ground up, and converting prospects into long-term service clients.
The Opportunity
As an Outside Sales Representative, your primary mandate will be to identify, pursue, and secure new commercial and industrial clients for preventative maintenance agreements. You will play a key role in helping building owners and operators protect critical HVAC assets, reduce downtime, and control long-term operating costs.
This is a field-based, consultative sales role with significant autonomy and strong earning potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect, qualify, and secure new business through a structured and disciplined sales process
- Conduct discovery meetings to understand client operations, risks, and service needs
- Present and sell customized HVAC preventative maintenance solutions
- Develop and execute a territory growth plan, including targeted outreach and networking
- Build long-term relationships with decision-makers, property managers, and facility leaders
- Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and activity tracking in CRM
- Represent the organization with professionalism, technical credibility, and integrity

What We're Looking For
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven success selling HVAC preventative maintenance or service agreements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial or industrial HVAC environments
- Strong consultative, value-based selling capabilities
- Experience selling service-based or intangible solutions
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems and operations
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Familiarity with structured sales methodologies
