- partisan Officer of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba and is not part of any government department or agency.

The Ombudsman investigates complaints about access to information, privacy protection, disclosures of wrongdoing and unfair treatment by public sector organizations and under four Acts:
The Ombudsman Act, The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA), The Personal Health Information Act (PHIA), and the Public Interest Disclosure (Whistleblower Protection) Act


Conditions of Employment:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • A valid driver's license, access to a vehicle and the ability to travel within Manitoba
  • Willingness to work on a flexible schedule, including working outside standard office hours, when needed/required.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse and Adult Abuse Registry Checks.
