Program Coordinator - Literacy (Maternity Leave Coverage)

Position Summary
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Literacy Program Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of LDANR literacy programming for children and youth with a diagnosed, identified or suspected learning disability.
Responsibilities
- Administration and management of program staff and volunteers including recruitment, training, orientation, supervision and appreciation;
- Administration of program participant registration and screening;
- Communication with program clients, staff, volunteers and LDANR stakeholders;
- Liaise with community partners;
- Develop program materials such as promotional materials, feedback forms, etc.;
- Oversee program data collection and evaluation;
- Ensure programming aligns with funding and agency requirements;
- Manage programspecific budgets;
- Assist with reporting to funders;
- Maintain confidential records and files;
- Assist with agency fundraising initiatives;
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Postsecondary education in Education, Psychology, Child and Youth Studies, or other related field;
- Knowledgeable about learning disabilities;
- Experience working with and supporting individuals with learning disabilities;
- Understanding of the notforprofit sector/communitybased organizations;
- Experience in programming and evaluation;
- Experience recruiting, supporting and managing staff and/or volunteers;
- Manages both time and projects efficiently and effectively;
- Evidence to support ability to multitask;
- Highly organized with strong administrative skills and budgetary management skills;
- Professional and responsible with sensitive and confidential issues;
- Superior verbal/written skills, professional demeanor, communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills;
- Willingness to work flexible hours;
- Flexible to changing roles and responsibilities.
Requirements:

Police Vulnerable Sectors Clearance valid within one year;
- Uptodate
Standard First Aid and CPR-C; - Access to
reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the region; - A working device with
microphone, camera, and reliable internet access.
