Description
Well established and rapidly expanding Mining Group is seeking a Shipper /Receiver with a minimum of 2 years of related experience within an industrial / manufacturing environment.

The Job:
- Shipping and receiving of various products from small to very large products
- Receive shipments by checking packing slips, counting items and reconciling variances
- Operating forklift in a safe & correct manner to retrieve and store product, loading/unloading trailers and assembling orders
- Make sure that all merchandise is processed in a timely manner and within guidelines
- Demonstrate consistent & accurate orderpicking
- Follow proper company policies and procedures when handling paperwork and inventory
- Provide excellent customer service by packaging customer orders in a safe manner for shipping & receiving
- Observe safety policies, procedures of Occupational Health & Safety Act, WHMIS, TDG Act and many other pertinent legislation governing requirements
- The ability to exhibit team spirit in the warehouse and effectively interface with other warehouse personnel; managers; administration departments
- Maintain a clean working environment; floor clean, aisles clear, equipment maintained and stored as necessary, and keep bin locations in a neat and orderly manner.
- Extremely fast paced environment with a heavy focus on detail
- Other related duties are assigned when needed
- Grade 12 and previous warehouse experience in a similar or related industry; certified forklift operation would be considered an asset
- Proven reliability, punctuality, and low absenteeism
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Proven skills in accuracy and excellent attention to detail
- Good communication skills; ability to read and write English
- Ability to operate with mínimal supervision
- A willingness to understand the dynamics of our business and the warehouse department's role in providing efficient customer service
- Knowledge of export shipping documents
- Understanding of ISO procedures, WHMIS and Dangerous Goods regulations
- Excellent physical condition ability to lift up to 40lb 60 lb.
- Adaptable to heights and being on ladders.
