Reporting into Manager, People Systems, HRIS ECP Business Analyst is primarily responsible for collaborating closely with the sites HR business Subject matter experts (SMEs) and the HRIS team to elicit, analyze and document business processes, document manuals, support SAP Success Factors Employee Central Payroll (SAP SF ECP) training and testing, and follow up on system defects.


HRIS ECP BA possess profound knowledge in payroll processes, is an SAP SF ECP expert and helps implementation projects achieve their business goals by gathering the information to document the business processes, providing training and helping the SMEs through all project testing phases.


The position will fulfill the role of a domain expert in payroll processes and SAP SF ECP matters, review functional specifications (Workbooks), review/prepare test cases and prepare wireframes/flowcharts/manuals for training material.

Communicate directly with the project and sites SMEs.


This functional role focusses on actively collaborating with the SAP SF ECP implementation across all Teck Sites and requires extended knowledge and experience in the function of supporting the business implementing SAP SF ECP.


Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with key partners to gather information, document business processes, process flows, validate and present them.
  • Demonstrate processes to SME's, and others.
  • Gather Reports/Interfaces requirements, document them and facilitates/helps testing them
  • Identify and analyze business problems and define the scope of activities required to address the issues, including requirements review, business process reviews and impact assessment.
  • Assists preparation and facilitates User Acceptance Testing sessions with business collaborators.
  • Collaborates with the Training team to prepare training material, Release Notes and/or presentations for SAP SF ECP, prepares training manuals and presentations
  • Support SAP SF ECP training process
  • Support SAP ECP testing, helping testers throughout all phases of testing and answering SAP ECP and payroll processes questions
  • Works with Project HRIS Teams delivering SAP SF ECP to the Business

Qualifications:

years of experience in a similar role responsible for supporting a SAP SF ECP implementation project; with superb communication, facilitation, presentation and training skills and able to effectively advise on business process improvements.


  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem solving skills i.e. skilled at identifying and analyzing large volumes of information, able to develop a deep understanding of key issues quickly (business processes and system related), meticulously analyzes and investigates the business problems independently and in collaboration with the technical team proposes options / solutions to business collaborators in simple business terms.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment and handling multiple assignments simultaneously with tight deadlines.
  • Solid grasp and working experience with Portfolio Program and Project Management Tools, System Development Lifecycle methodologies (Waterfall and Agile)
  • Experience with Canadian payroll schemas and rules is an asset
  • Experience with DevOps is desirable
  • SAP SF ECP experience is a must
  • Familiarity with Mining or Natural Resources industry is desirable
  • Experience working in large organizations, at Enterprise, Business Unit, Operating Unit levels.
  • Proficient in the use Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel (O365 preferred)
  • Willing to be "handson" when required
