Our platform processes millions of financial transactions each year, including premium and sales tax collections by bank withdrawal and credit card, and claims payouts by cheque, bank withdrawal, and eTransfer.

As the company's Accounting Manager, you provide critical financial management support. You are detail-oriented and organized, handling multiple tasks with ease. You pride yourself on delivering outstanding service to those you assist.

Your compensation + benefits

  • Salary: $80,237$103,161 per year.
  • 4weeks, not 2weeks, of vacation to start and an additional week after only 3 years.

Your responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and uptodate general ledger in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Manage daytoday accounting and banking operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payment processing.
  • Administer payroll and benefits:
- maintaining payroll register and records;
- processing payroll;
- coordinating overtime and part-time tracking; and,
- processing monthly remittances and year-end tax forms.

  • Manage the timely close of monthend processes, including accruals, and bank account and credit card reconciliations.
  • Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with the company's accounting policies and procedures.
  • Work with external auditors on annual reviews and tax filings.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal and Provincial tax and other regulatory requirements related to the company's finances.

Your education + experience
Your experience and education ensure your success at Square One.


For this role, you have:

  • A CPA Designation.
  • Five years of experience in corporate accounting, payroll, and financial management.
