REPORTS TO:
Financial Controller


SALARY RANGE:
$75,000-$90,000/year


HOURS:40 hours weekly (plus 2.5 hours banked) - Typical schedule 7:00am - 4:00 pm Mon-Friday.


SUMMARY:
The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis for the organization.

They will be responsible for a variety of tasks including account reconciliation, cost analysis, report writing, procedure documentation, and assisting with production planning and supply chain reporting.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reconcile accounts and prepare monthend workpapers to ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Investigate margin variance issues and provide detailed analysis
  • Review costs for pricing decisions and provide valuable insights to the management team.
  • Review budget to actual performance and prepare comprehensive budget reports.
  • Communicate budget status to department heads.
  • Assist with budget preparation for upcoming fiscal periods.
  • Develop process flow documentation to streamline internal procedures.
  • Prepare detailed procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT professionals to outline highlevel algorithms and report layouts for detailed design.
  • Test and validate reports to ensure accuracy.
  • Utilize report writer tools for report generation.
  • Create report templates for various departments based on specific requests.
  • Prepare yearend workpapers and collaborate with auditors during the audit process.
  • Determine reorder quantities based on historical usage patterns.
  • Investigate usage trends to categorize items as multicustomer or single customer, regular or sporadic usage, and stock or madetoorder items.
  • Analyze sales history to recommend adjustments in inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with sales and supply chain teams to forecast raw material usage and general product sales.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to carry/push/pull up to 30 lbs occasionally.
  • Sitting/Standing for extended periods
  • Periodic climbing (stairs/step stool)
  • Repetitive use of hands/wrists with light grasping
  • Occasional walking/twisting/bending and reaching above and below shoulder.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Working predominantly within a 'normal' office environment.
  • Potential exposure to the manufacturing environment may be required including exposure loud noises, and moving machinery.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when in the manufacturing facility to include but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, and hard hats.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA designation or inprogress.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or related roles.
  • SAGE experience preferred, but not required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Advanced oral comprehension and expression (English).
  • Literacy equivalent to OECD Level 4 or higher.
