About us:


Job Purpose:


The scheduler is responsible to ensure all manufactured parts are completed and ready for assembly as laid out in master production plan.

This position works closely with the engineering team, CNC programmers, machine shop manager, parts coordinator and parts room.


Responsibilities:


  • Import bill of material (BOM) form one software to another
  • Add required operations to the job, schedule the job
  • Enter manufacturing part information in the machine shop schedule
  • Create material cutting list for the saw operators
  • Create travellers (work process) for manufacturing jobs and distribute to the machinist and assemblers
  • Schedule machine shop to manufacture parts to reach all deadlines
  • Follow up on material, outsourced parts and jobs
  • Provide drawings and production sheets to all CNC machine operators
  • Convert drawings to imperial or metric system as needed
  • Plans and prepare daily production schedules
  • Draws up master/ discipline schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation
  • Communicates with company management the status of each project
  • Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
  • Prepares production reports
  • Ensure all jobs have planned hours and resources attached to them; correct where necessary
  • Attend and contribute to regularly scheduled production planning meetings
  • Understand inventory levels and the purchasing process to support the planning role
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned

Job Requirements:


  • College Diploma (Mechanical Preferred) or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 + years as planning and scheduling Experience
  • Ability to interact and deal effectively with production personal using excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency with the use of computers, technology and Microsoft Office 36
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision and have excellent time management skills
  • Detail oriented and can be counted on to meet and exceed goals successfully
  • Clearly understand problems and makes sound decisions to resolve discrepancies and errors
  • Provide individuals with timely information so that they can make accurate decisions
  • Able to regularly monitor and access computer screen
  • Overtime shifts as required
