We are currently seeking a talented and dedicated Project Coordinator to complement our Transportation Roads and Highways Teams in the Greater Toronto Area with offices in Markham and Burlington.

Reporting to the Department Manager, you will assist the Department and Project Managers with the implementation of our corporate Management, Financial, Health and Safety, Quality Control, and Business Development processes.


Core Responsibilities:
As an integral member of the Roads and Highway Team responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with developing efficiencies in our Project Management, Financial, Health and Safety, Quality Control and Business Development processes
  • Assisting with monthly financial reporting at the Department Management and Project Management levels and regular project financial assessments and reviews
  • Assisting Project Managers with project financial setup and monitoring
  • Assisting the Department Manager with work-in-hand assessment and forecast management
  • Assisting Project Managers with preparing and maintaining MH Management System, Health and Safety and Quality Control documentation on projects
  • Conducting Quality Control audits of projects to verify compliance with corporate and client Quality Management Systems
  • Assisting with proposals and financial vetting
  • Assisting with standardization and ongoing maintenance of Business Development documentation (CVs, project writeups and proposal templates)
  • Assisting Project Managers with management of larger projects to coordinate schedule, deliverables, and interdisciplinary design
  • Supporting development and implementation of the Transportation and Mobility Community of Practice

Qualifications:

We are seeking individuals with the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • in the Transportation Engineering industry and/ or a post-secondary program such as Bachelor of Business Administration is considered an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Hard working and motivated with strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management and customer service skills
