School Bus Driver and Charter Driver - North York, Canada - Thirdwave Bus

Description

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a bus to transport passengers to and from designated locations
• Follow predetermined routes and schedules
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of passengers during transit
• Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information and assistance as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized bus interior
• Conduct pretrip and posttrip inspections of the bus
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations

Skills:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with passengers and provide clear instructions
• Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance tasks and address minor issues that may arise during transit
• Experience working with senior care or children is a plus, as it requires patience, empathy, and the ability to handle various needs of passengers
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse communities
• Ability to educate passengers on safety procedures and enforce rules when necessary
• Proficiency in English is essential for clear communication with passengers

From $23.00 per hour

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

- driving: 3 years (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

• Drivers License Class 2 (air brakes preferred) (required)
