Fraction Energy in Whitecourt is hiring for a Shop / Yard Assistant Position.
This position is responsible for assisting in the shop and yard performing repairs and completing parts runs as needed.

As well this position will assist with ensuring rental, water transfer and transportation equipment is maintained, delivered safely and on time, while following all applicable rules, regulations, and legislation.

This position will provide assistance to the Grande Prairie and Whitecourt offices when required.

Responsibilities:

Shop and yard Organization
Delivery and Pickups; Parts Runs
Loading and unloading equipment
Moving of Company vehicles in and around the yard
Cleaning of shop, vehicles, equipment, and trailer units
Verifying returning truck inventory to driver paperwork per instructions
Transportation, Maintenance and set up (when applicable) of rental equipment
Maintain communication with Dispatch to ensure additional requests from the client are able to be met in a timely manner,
Manage the scheduled inspection and checkoff of equipment,
Report/document all defects and follows up on any required maintenance,
Completely and accurately fills out all required documentation this includes pre/post trip, fuel logs, job book, time sheet and Field ticket,
Administrative tasks and Shop Duties

Experience and Skills:

Knowledge of Water Transfer an asset
1 year Oilfield related experience
First Aid, H2S and CSO
Class 5 drivers licence with clean abstract
Loader and Skid steer Tickets would be an asset

Working Conditions:

Must live near base of employment Whitecourt or be willing to relocate
Participation in our Pre-Employment drug and alcohol screening and health assessment.
Outdoor environment including extreme Weather Conditions (hot & cold)
Extreme driving conditions (snow, ice, mud, offroad)
Exposure to: noise, vibration, chemicals, fumes & gases, dust and high pressure lines
Travel is required
