DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a member of our Environmental team, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Hydrogeological testing, analysis, and reporting;
- Pumping tests and infiltration testing, analysis, and reporting;
- Completion of Phase I / II ESAs;
- Fieldwork and reporting associated with site remediations;
- Environmental monitoring at waste disposal sites, lagoons, former mine sites, etc.;
- Occasional fieldwork supporting other MP groups (natural sciences, land development, environmental engineering, others);
- Project coordination, data analysis, and reporting pertaining to the above duties, and;
- Other duties as may be required from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate from a university or college program in Environmental Science, Geology, Earth Sciences, Biology, Environmental Engineering, or related field;
- Approximately 2 years' demonstrated experience in hydrogeological, ESA, and/or remediation work;
- Knowledge of basic fieldwork methods (pumping tests or slug tests, Phase I ESA site visits, drilling supervision, sampling);
- Ability to travel throughout Ontario and occasionally outofprovince for work assignments;
- Ability to work in all weather conditions, including full days in the field during winter months;
- Strong written and oral communication skills;
- Proven ability to analyze and report on collected data;
- Experience in project management or field coordination considered an asset;
- Experience with specialized field techniques (e.g. Guelph permeameter, core logging, soil vapour testing, hydrogeological testing, etc.) considered an asset;
- Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance.
