As a result of our continued growth, we are now looking for a Payroll Practitioner II with at least
four years of experience in medium-sized business.



Responsibilities will include:


  • Calculate and process employee pay, benefits, deductions, reimbursements, and adjustments for hourly and salary employees in compliance with company, provincial and federal regulatory standards
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of new hires, terminations and pay changes
  • Respond to payrollrelated inquiries and resolving concerns
  • Assist with preparation of payroll account reconciliations and ad hoc reports
  • Prepare and process year end reports and reconciliations i.e. T4's, T2200
  • Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions Assist with calculation & payment of payrollrelated remittances (eg. EHT, WSIB, and WCB)

We're looking for someone with:
  • 4+ years of payroll experience
  • Canadian Payroll Association Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification
  • Postsecondary education in accounting/financial/payroll studies
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of provincial employment standards, particularly Ontario, BC, Alberta, NS, and Manitoba
  • Experience working with accounting and payroll software
  • Knowledge of US payroll would be an asset
