The Rotman Commerce program is offered jointly by the Rotman School of Management and the Faculty of Arts and Science.
Rotman Commerce serves approximately 3200 in-program undergraduate business students as well as over 17,000 graduates of the Bachelor of Commerce program.

As the Manager, Strategic Marketing & Communications, you will serve as a source of creative marketing ideas and promotional approaches for Rotman Commerce ensuring that the Rotman brand is advanced and that Rotman Commerce is positioned to continue to grow and compete in what is now an extremely competitive market for undergraduate business students.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing a comprehensive and integrated marketing strategy
- Developing and implementing marketing plans to promote programs, events and/or initiatives that support strategic objectives
- Developing and implementing marketing plans to support business development and revenuegenerating strategies and/or activities
- Developing and maintaining standards and styles for visual and interface design of digital platforms
- Analyzing market data to determine trends and effectiveness of programs and initiatives; conducting detailed analysis to inform management decision making
- Creating and editing documents
- Advising on branding strategies and attributes to support initiatives
- Implementing a plan to build brand profiles within the marketplace and amongst target groups
Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with a focus on marketing, public relations or mass communications; or acceptable combination of equivalent education and experience
- Minimum five (5) years experience in marketing and communications, preferably in the postsecondary education sector and business school environment
- Demonstrated experience planning and implementing integrated communication projects is required
- Experience developing, implementing and evaluating marketing communication campaigns, marketing research projects, brand development initiatives and overseeing the creation, development and management of webbased and social media marketing communication tools
- Relevant experience with market and competitor research skills, ability to facilitate focus groups, design and implement surveys and develop and write proposals
- Strong project management skills with a successful track record in managing a variety of creative, persuasive and costeffective marketing communication projects, from conceptual stages through delivery and followup/evaluation, including proven experience in outsourcing graphic design, advertising, or other creative services
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills, including knowledge of English grammar and spelling; and the ability to edit and proofread
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and budgets
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well with others across multiple departments; ability to resolve conflict
- Superior oral and written communication skills, including welldeveloped presentation/public speaking skills and abilities
- Proficient with personal computers and appropriate software packages including word processing, online content management systems, spreadsheets, databases and web and desktop publishing/graphic design
- Knowledge of the latest electronic and social media marketing tools and approaches such as web practices and learning portals
