About The Role


The purpose of the
Philanthropy Associate is to implement multi-channel strategies for donor acquisition, solicitation for entry-level gifts, and strategies for gift renewal and upgrades which create a habit of giving on a regular basis.

This includes direct mail, online fundraising, telephone fundraising, supporting third-party events, and assisting the Annual Giving and Donor Relations Team, as required.

As a member of the Ecojustice Philanthropy team, the
Philanthropy Associate will play a key role in:

  • Providing overall administrative support to Ecojustice's Philanthropy team and it's fundraising campaigns, including direct mail and online fundraising.
  • Ensuring accurate and efficient management of donor data via data collection and entry, performing queries, and producing reports.
  • Participate in donor stewardship, including acquisition and retention strategy.
  • Support project management including coordination of print materials, including liaising with staff and vendors.
  • Provide administrative support of online fundraising campaigns/appeals.
  • Help with thirdparty fundraising events and relationshipbuilding with vendors and community partners.

Role Success
Typically, we find that people who succeed in this role bring:

  • At least 1 year of administration or fundraising experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar office administration software
  • Effective communication and relationship building skills
  • Attention to detail, organization skills, and the ability to prioritize
  • Effective problem solving skills and is selfmotivated
