Sales & Account Management (SAM) team owns seller acquisition, manages key accounts & partners, and champions seller life-cycle improvements. We drive seller success and continuously work to improve selection availability on AbeBooks. We work closely with the Website & Demand, and Customer Operations teams.


The Business Coordinator is responsible for supporting multiple functions across business teams, and this may include prospecting new acquisition leads, supporting SAM initiatives geared towards driving growth, supporting Program Managers with product launches, or monitoring marketing channel efficiencies.

This role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical skills and the ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.

Key job responsibilities


Prospecting:

Working with an international team of Account Managers to identify new prospects who may be suitable for AbeBooks services.


Sales Program support:

supporting sellers globally who are enrolled in our monthly Sales program by answering queries, and scheduling sellers in future sales.


Daily operations:
completing a list of designated Customer Support, Customer Operations, or Website & Demand tasks.

A day in the life

A typical day for the Business coordinator starts with cross-office team meetings (between Germany and Canada) to review a specific set of goals, or the previous weeks/months performance.

The day will then be split between working on new business development tasks (prospecting new sellers), completing a set list of daily operational tasks for our Customer Support team, and responding to customers who are enrolled in our Sales Program.

The Business coordinator may also spend time supporting recurrent marketing channel tasks to ensure ongoing efficiencies of AbeBooks marketing channels.

About the team
Sales & Account Management (SAM) owns seller acquisition, manages key accounts & partners, and champions seller life-cycle improvements. We drive seller success and continuously work to improve selection availability on AbeBooks. The team is split across two offices (Victoria, BC, and Munich, Germany).

The team is passionate about inclusion, and we regularly work together in initiatives that will benefit our entire seller base.

The team has a deep knowledge of our core customer base, and works tirelessly to drive improvements to the seller experience.


  • Experience managing projects, including coordinating with other teams
  • Experience as a technical writer, editor, content strategist, or related field
  • Second language (Spanish, French, Italian, or German) is a plus
