JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary


Reporting to the Director of Administration and Student Services, the Head, Human Resources and Accounts implements HR programs and policies and provides Finance and Accounting services, including account payables, account receivables, talent acquisition, employment processing, compensation, health, safety and welfare benefits, training and development, as well as succession planning.

Liaising with our accountants for all other finance and accounting related matters.


Key Responsibilities
Such duties will include but not be restricted to the following:

Human Resources

  • Manage monthly benefits and payroll in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Manage Records of Employment and other welfare benefits schemes as required.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate personnel records.
  • Manage the hiring, firing and job interview process.
  • Manage staff performance reviews.
  • Manage staffing and update job requirements.
  • Develop and update employee retention programs.
  • Develop and update staff policies and procedures.
  • Develop and update staff training and development programs.
  • Provide and update information and resources for understanding of existing and proposed laws and regulations affecting human resources management.
  • Schedule workshops, and staff events as required.
  • Manage staff vacation time, sick time, and personal days.
  • Manage staff birthdays and milestones.

Accounting

  • Manage account payables and receivables in a timely manner.
  • Generate and update accurate student accounts, invoices and receipts of payment as required.
  • Manage staff yearly T4's
  • Process bank transactions, deposits, and withdrawals, as required.
  • Process refunds and commission payments as required.
  • Maintain monthly records and submit to the company accountant each month.
  • Liaise with the company accountant to provide requested materials and support in a timely manner.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Required education: postsecondary education in relevant field.
  • Experience: At least three years.

Working Conditions

  • Typical office environment.

Salary:
$40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
