Position Overview


The Trainer/ IT Administrator under the direction of the General Manager, will primarily be responsible for the overall daily operations of the company technological needs which include responsibility for evaluating our needs and current practices and creating and delivering a training development plan complete with materials, tutorials, instructions, and learning resources such as online modules and guides.

The Trainer/IT Administrator will be a confident public speaker and a devoted educator who is up-to-date on the latest tools and resources needed to improve employee training and performance.

The Trainer/IT Administrator will also be responsible for researching and selecting the best platform to deliver and utilize training materials.

The Trainer/IT Administrator should possess extensive experience in IT administration and the ability to optimize the performance of our IT infrastructure.

An accomplished Trainer/IT administrator will be someone whose technical expertise results in enhanced IT system efficiency across company structures.


Key Responsibilities:
Trainer

  • Train Referrals Staff
  • Referrals documentation and processes
  • Train Client Care Staff
  • Trip Sheet and other Transportation documentation
  • Lead in Client Care training coordination, evaluation and recommendations
  • Train and/or coordinate training for all staff in conjunction with HR training initiatives
  • HR Downloads course identification, assignment, tracking and future planning
  • New policy roll outs
  • Track and compile collected data
  • Conceptualize training materials based on data and research
  • Communicate training needs and online resources
  • Create training strategies, initiatives, and materials
  • Contact and utilize outside vendors and resources for instructional technology
  • Test and review created materials
  • Maintain a database of all training materials
  • Instruct employee training and onboarding
  • Conduct training through new materials
  • Review employee performance and learning
  • Coordinate and monitor enrollment, schedules, costs, and equipment
IT Administrative

  • Lead contact with Grade A
  • Monitoring and maintaining networks and servers.
  • Upgrading, installing and configuring new hardware and software to meet company objectives.
  • Implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats.
  • Creating user accounts and performing access control.
  • Performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to optimize computer systems.
  • Documenting processes, as well as backing up and archiving data.
  • Developing data retrieval and recovery procedures.
  • Designing and implementing efficient enduser feedback and error reporting systems
  • Troubleshoot and IT related issue
  • Workstations, WIFI, Client radio
  • Maintaining internal IT communications
  • Lobby Info Screen, Punch Clock Screen and in room Client Info Channel
  • Assist with additional tasks as and when needed or assigned by management both within and outside role and department to support Larga operations
Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education, business, human resources, information technology, or related field
  • Certification from talent and training associations a plus
  • Applicable professional qualification, such as Microsoft, Oracle, or Cisco certification a plus
  • At least two years' experience in a similar role.
  • Extensive experience with IT systems, networks, and related technologies.
  • Solid knowledge of best practices in IT administration and system security.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills

  • Fluency in Inuktitut is a strong asset.
  • Meticulous and demonstrated ability for strong attention to detail.
  • Highly effective organizational skills combined with the ability to multitask and prioritize daily and weekly activities to meet set and changing deadlines.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), and instructional software
  • Experience with technologies and best practices for instructional manuals and teaching platforms
  • Strict adherence to company philosophy/mission statement
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
  • Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
