Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, engaging with customers and contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. Prior experience as a speciality coffee barista is necessary . The position requires strong time management skills, attention to food safety standards, and proficiency with POS systems.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks according to company recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for accurate cash handling and order processing
- Handle cash transactions efficiently, including cashiering and providing correct change
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including food preparation areas and dining spaces
- Ensure food safety and proper handling of all food items following health regulations
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service
- Restock supplies as needed, including coffee beans, cups, utensils, and food items
- Follow food safety protocols during food handling and preparation processes
- Perform basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management
Requirements
- Previous experience as speciality Barista.
- Knowledge of POS systems such as square is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and inventory purposes
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as needed
