This northern city in the Canadian Shield boasts a 60kilometrelong formation called the Sudbury basin, which is brimming with nickel, copper, cobalt, gold, silver, platinum and palladium deposits. It's also been home to Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations (Sudbury INO) since 1929. Our Sudbury operations include exploration, underground mines, a mill and a smelter, and Onaping Depth, a deep mine project at Craig Mine, all located in this basin. The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a
Safety Coordinator to join our
Glencore
Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations in Greater Sudbury, Ontario.
The position will be based within our Sudbury Operations

This is a 24 Month Contract position.

Duties and Accountabilities:

Reporting to the Sustainable Development (SD) Safety Lead, the Safety Coordinator provides support in the management and implementation of the Glencore SafeWork 2.0 program and Sudbury INO's Safety programs.

About You

Your personal commitment to health, safety, training, and continuous improvement will be the key to your success in this role.

Education
Minimum requirement is a college diploma in occupational health and safety or equivalent program from a recognized educational institution. Proven equivalent and recent related education, training and experience may also be considered.
