Applications are invited for the position of Head Coach, Curling in the Athletics and Student Engagement Division, located at the Welland Campus.

The salary is $24.04/hr, for a 4 hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and implementing an annual training program that maximizes recruiting opportunities, optimizes training sessions, and prepares the student-athletes for success in OCAA competition
  • Providing appropriate physical and mental training programs
  • Supporting and monitoring studentathletes' academic progress
  • Developing a recruitment strategy, may include coordinating with local schools and clubs to run clinics
  • Supporting and acting in accordance with the strategic direction and initiatives as they relate to studentathlete support, general promotions, budget management, appropriate administrative responsibilities, and community/alumni relations
  • Leading the program in accordance with Niagara College, OCAA, and CCAA policies and procedures

Qualifications:


  • Degree or diploma or similar field of study
  • Minimum of four (4) years of relevant coaching experience, preferably at the head coach level
- "Train to Compete" Certification (or equivalent) or, on the National Coach Certification Program (NCCP) pathway

  • Previous coaching experience in the OCAA/CCAA, Ontario University Athletics (OUA)/USPORT and/or Elite Club level is considered an asset
