Description
Snow Maintenance LabourerWhy work for us:
- Reimbursement for fuel is provided to individuals who use their own reliable vehicles (such as trucks and SUVs equipped with 4x4 capability and winter tires)
- Potential for fulltime employment from Spring to Fall.
Available positions include:
- Snow shovellers
- Labourers
- Drivers
These roles are well-suited for individuals capable of working in challenging winter weather, enduring extended work hours, and exerting substantial physical effort.
Preference given to individuals residing in Peel Region (Brampton, Mississauga, Caledon)
Pay:
$20-$30 depending on experience
- Biweekly payment options include direct deposit or a cheque, cash option is also available
Duties:
- Maintain open communication with supervisor before, during and after shifts
- Consistent monitoring of weather and storm events to stay prepared for oncall shifts
- Adhere to all safety requirements, including appropriate attire for the weather and personal protective equipment
- Removing snow from specified areas using shovels, snow blowers, and small plow equipment
Applicant requirements:
- Dependable transportation to and from contract sites
- Prior experience in winter operations is an asset
- Flexibility with shift schedules and extended hours
- Required to remain on standby 24/
- Must be available to work in various weather conditions and all active snowfalls
- Snow boots, gloves, and appropriate attire for the current weather conditions are required
Schedule:
- Shift hours vary depending on snowfalls
- Each shift is a minimum of 8 hours
- Opportunities to work 12+ hours are available
