Secur Fire Protection, Inc., a Fire Safety and Protection, LLC company, is an integrated building systems service provider providing building automation, fire and life safety systems and services to facilities throughout the Ottawa Carleton Region and surrounding areas.

We are seeking a
CFAA Fire Alarm Technician Apprentice.

Responsibilities:


  • Assist with installation sites and study work orders, building plans and installation manuals to determine materials requirements and installation procedures.
  • Assist with demonstration of systems for customers and explain details, such as the causes and consequences of false alarms.
  • Test and repair circuits and sensors, following wiring and system specifications.
  • Follow local and national security standards.

Minimum Requirements:


  • In process of earning or recently awarded CFAA License
  • Prior experience with monitoring systems, emergency lighting systems and security systems preferred.
  • Siemens and/or Mircom ESD experience preferred.
  • Positive attitude & strong work ethic.
  • Customer oriented mentality.

Physical Requirements:


  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.
  • Overnight travel may be required.
