Parkwest Projects Ltd. is looking for a Remote Camp Cook's helper to join our team. Parkwest is a leading General Contractor who completes projects throughout Manitoba and Northwest Ontario.

The Position

As our Remote Camp Cook's Helper you will be responsible for helping with all aspects of the camp on a day-to-day basis, including meal preparation and housekeeping.

The position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, customer service skills, and the ability to always respond to a variety of different situations.

Responsibilities:

Help prepare and cook 3 meals a day for residents of the construction camp
Help prepare an assortment of baking and desserts
Help monitor inventory and order supplies
Help unload and organize grocery/equipment deliveries
Clean kitchen and work areas
Perform housekeeping and cleaning of camp washrooms and hallways

Qualifications & Skills

Experience cooking in remote locations.
Experience baking (desserts, bars, cookies, muffins etc.)
Experience in general housekeeping
Safe Food Handling Certificate

Conditions of Employment

Fast paced environment
Standing for extended periods of time
Physically capable of performing all duties as assigned (which may include lifting heavy loads).
Repetitive tasks
Work under pressure on a strict timeline

Salary:
$15.00-$20.00 per hour
