Description

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Community Impact and Engagement, the Foundation Coordinator has shared responsibilities in coordinating all aspects of the 50/50 lottery gaming program and ensuring compliance with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations to achieve revenue goals.

Additionally, this position is responsible for providing support for the Foundation's community impact programs and assistance to the broader OSEG Foundation team.


Founded in 2017 as the charitable arm of the Ottawa REDBLACKS and Ottawa 67's, the OSEG Foundation leverages the power of sport to help children and youth reach their fullest potential.

A passion for the power of sport and improving children's lives is at the heart of the OSEG Foundation. We believe that every young person deserves the chance to realize their full potential and achieve a great future.

For us, sport is not always the end in and of itself, but, used effectively, can be a vehicle for realizing many positive changes in a young person's life.


The 50/50 raffle is held at each home-game for the REDBLACKS, 67's, Atlético, Blackjacks and other special events at TD Place.

Revenue raised through charitable gaming is invested in positive youth development programs for children and youth facing barriers.

Please note this is a fixed term parental leave coverage, running April 1, 2024 to July 12, 2024.


_ What you'll do:
_


  • Coordinate the financial, licensing, marketing, technical, reporting, staffing, and logístical operations of the 50/50 program and for each raffle;
  • Assist in the management of 50/50 technology;
  • Monitor staff and raffle performance through data analysis;
  • Hire, schedule, train, motivate and supervise a diverse group of 50/50 sellers and gameday supervisors, and community impact program volunteers;
  • Support OSEG Foundation community impact programs and initiatives, assisting in the development and implementation of youth sport programming for marginalized communities in Ottawa;
  • Coordinate and support community program delivery, execute logistics, and organize necessary materials for the impact programs and events;
  • Help maintain, grow, and enhance content for OSEG Foundation web pages and social media to promote and increase exposure of community programs and events;
  • Assist with basic daytoday administrative tasks related to the OSEG Foundation, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and with accuracy;
  • Assist the development and implementation of new initiatives.

_ What's needed:
_


  • Completion of Postsecondary degree or diploma in a related field;
  • 12 years of experience supervising parttime employees and/or volunteers;
  • Experience in fundraising and revenue generation. Specific experience managing a 50/50 program would be considered a definite asset;
  • Experience working with youth in a sport or recreation environment;
  • Experience providing administrative support to a team;
  • Ability to thrive and problemsolve in a fastpaced environment;
  • Detailoriented and strong organizational skills;
  • Comfortable working with a variety of technologies and solution providers;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and achieve quality results;
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Bilingualism is an asset;
  • Available to work evenings and weekends mandatory;
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position including standing/walking/climbing stairs and moving equipment for extended periods of time;
  • Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset.
