Summary of Responsibilities


We are currently seeking a dynamic, diligent Kiefel Operator to join us part-time on a permanent basis for our
Weekend Night shift (Friday to Saturday 23:00-11:00 and Saturday to Sunday 23:00-11:00) at our Alliston facility.

Starting salary is $28.85/hour plus relevant shift premium.


The Kiefel Operator's role involves operating Kiefel machinery, ensuring correct materials are used, making minor adjustments as needed to deliver a high-quality output.

Operating the PVC Grinder and Blender is also part of the responsibilities. Carrying out all essential Q.A. and documentation for the Kiefel department and product clearance.


Given the nature of our operations, Baxter adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) necessitating employees to emphasize cleanliness and contamination prevention.

Other aspects of GMP that need to be adhered to include refraining from wearing makeup or jewelry in production zones.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate the Kiefel, SAPA, Grinder, and Blender securely.
  • Conduct QA inspections and complete documentation following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) to facilitate product approval.
  • Address and rectify minor equipment malfunctions to ensure efficient production of high-quality items.
  • Utilize the computer for inputting shop floor data & ordering required raw materials.
  • Maintain all essential production paperwork to ensure materials used align with B.O.M.
  • Safely transport raw materials and finished goods following proper lifting protocols and employing lift equipment and material handling devices.

  • Proficiency in diagnosing mechanical issues.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in working efficiently both autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Proven proactive and self-motivated work ethic.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in accurately documenting data per CA GPP 80.
  • Ability to understand Baxter Specifications / SOP's and determine appropriate corrective measures.
  • Equipment used: Kiefel machinery, SAPA, 4 wheel trolleys, manual jacks, electric hoist, 4 wheel pushcart, Q.A. tools and gauges, and computer.
