Sierra's heavy civil division has the equipment, trained operators and expertise to complete a wide array of projects including subdivision servicing, building services and sitework packages, municipal water systems, wastewater treatment plans, sewer and watermain, roads, golf courses, retention ponds, erosion control, earthmoving and demolition_


Due to an influx of projects, our General Contracting division is currently seeking to add an experienced Project Coordinator to their team.

Reporting to the General Manager and Project Manager, this position is accountable for working as part of a team providing overall construction and administrative support to the PM and Superintendent while ensuring efficiency in all areas including client satisfaction.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Data entry, paperwork, preparation and completion of project job files, and coordination of client billing information
  • Support PM in finalizing subcontractors, subcontractor documentation and ensure all project documents are formalized to cover the scope of required work, payment terms, schedules, safety etc.
  • Prepare complete project management files for detailed monitoring/filing of all project information
  • Ensure all project tracking is completed for shop drawings, changes, project files, RFI's, etc.
  • Participate in project startup meeting(s) and complete all assigned tasks
  • Review working drawings and specifications with PM for accuracy and completeness of information required for tendering and construction
  • Assist in completing punch lists and deficiency lists
  • Complete Shop Drawing Reviews
  • Complete project closeouts
  • Follow up on preparation and delivery of asbuilt documents and drawings
  • Participate in post mortem review and complete tasks as determined
  • Professionally and efficiently administer multiple tasks on concurrently running projects with excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Continually evaluate and communicate process and procedure innovations to streamline company operations
  • Assist project site staff with document coordination and keeping records up to date and current
  • Prepare preliminary renderings and plans to assist with business development
  • Focus on client services as needed with exemplary professionalism and knowledge
  • Assist with Estimating on a needbe basis

Skills, Experience and Requirements:


  • Minimum of 2 years as a Project Coordinator, preferably within a General Contracting capacity
  • Postsecondary education in Construction Engineering (Technology) or related program
  • Must have a valid G license
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Suite capabilities, knowledge of Fieldwire as asset
  • Understanding of Contracts including Form of Tender, Order of Precedence, Special Provisions, Supplemental General Conditions and OPS General Conditions of Contract
  • Meticulous planning and organization skills for daily note taking of tasks, activities, production and workforce
  • Must have stellar communication skills, the ability to problem solve, and capability to adapt to all situations

Salary:
$55,000.00-$63,000.00 per year
