    The Niagara Catholic District School Board invites applications for Summer School Teachers for Secondary School Credit position in the following subject areas (Please indicate on your application which course(s) your application is being made to):

    • Italian (LWIBD1, LWICU1, LWIDU1)
    • English (ENG3U; ENG4U, ENG3C; ENG4C)
    • Photography and Digital Imaging (TGP3M, TGP4M)
    • Classical Civilization (LVV4U)

    WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

    • Program offering is contingent upon sufficient enrollment
    • Classes may be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment or for other reasons at the Board's discretion
    • Not all applicants will be interviewed
    • Only those applicants who are successful will be notified WHAT YOU BRING:
    • Required qualification(s) in the subject area that you have applied to, as evidenced by their Ontario Certificate of Qualification
    • Related experience in an academic credit course with travel component

    LOCATION: Blessed Trinity Catholic Secondary School & ITALY

    • Two Saturday sessions, May 25, 2024 and June 8, 2024 at Blessed Trinity Catholic Secondary School, Grimsby; and
    • July 5, 2024 – July 27, 2024 (tentative dates) in Italy; includes all day supervision responsibilities Italian, English and Classical Civilization

    TOTAL HOURS: 114

    *Provide student support "outside" of daily office hour to accommodate conflict in schedule if need arises.

    *Teacher will be accompanying students to Ottawa/Montreal/New York City from

    July 11-18, 2024.

    *Travel Dates includes all day supervision responsibilities.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    *Teachers must possess intermediate/senior qualifications in the subject area that they have applied to, as evidenced by their Ontario Certificate of Qualification.

    *Essential to have above average Computer and Internet knowledge.

    *Knowledge of PRISM is an asset.

    *Ability to manage course files and engage students through web-based communication.

    *Related experience in an academic course with travel component preferred.

    TOTAL HOURS: 114 HOURS

    RATE OF PAY: $45.25 inclusive of vacation pay
