RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the administration of Keyera volume balancing (nonCPM) leak detection strategy and systems
- Maintains and enhances Keyera volume balancing leak detection program to ensure regulatory compliance and best in class controls
- Prepares and administers training and testing of relevant staff
- Monitor, trend, analyze and report leak detection anomalies
- Work with Operations and 3rd Party software provider to establish, implement and maintain best practice volume balancing leak detection methods
- Maintains and improves volume balancing leak detection processes and procedures to ensure consistent and correct response, interpretation and resolution of leak detection system alarms
- Troubleshoot and provide technical support with any leak detection alarms
- Provides onshift leak detection support to the control center operations for both volume balancing and CPM leak detection alarms
- Evaluate and support project development in identifying, reviewing, and approving design requirements for new pipeline systems
- Research and identify industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies for leak detection
- Conduct Leak Detection test simulations using approved methods
- Create reports on Reliability, Sensitivity, Accuracy, and robustness on a monthly and annual basis
- Create and deliver presentations to leak detection stakeholders and other Keyera departments
- QUALIFICATIONS
- Five years (5) plus of industry experience in pipeline operations and volume balancing leak detection (nonCPM) systems
- Experience with leak detection program administration, (using both statistical and RTTM systems), leak analysis training, and leak detection testing and assessment requirements
- Experience with leak detection anomaly operational management
- Significant knowledge of pipeline operations, pipeline hydraulics, pipeline simulations, and computational pipeline monitoring
- Actionorientated, highly motivated individual with demonstrated problemsolving abilities
- Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal and organization skills are required
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure in a timely and organized manner with an attention for detail and a focus on teamwork within the Measurement & Analytics Group
- Willingness to support afterhours oncall rotation for Operator leak analysis support
- Ability to understand and contribute to Leak Detection continuous improvement plan
- A valid driver's license and a 5year standard driver abstract (clean driver's abstract)
