Description
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of carpenters on construction projects
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications and requirements
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, and other materials
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, cabinets, and stairs
- Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and roofs
- Ensure all work is completed according to safety regulations and building codes
- Collaborate with other contractors and tradespeople to ensure smooth project execution
- Provide guidance and training to junior carpenters
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a carpenter in the construction industry
- Proficient in various carpentry techniques including roof construction, masonry, concrete forming, blueprint reading, drywall installation, flooring installation, electrical work, and general assembly
- Strong knowledge of building materials and tools
- Ability to accurately measure and cut materials to precise specifications
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively communicate instructions and provide guidance to team members
Salary:
$20.00-$40.00 per hour

- Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
- carpentry: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
Ability to Commute:
- Toronto, ON (required)
