This position is in Cargill's protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Flock Supervisor will be responsible for a designated group of contract farms.

This position will be working close to the breeder manager and contract breeder producers to arrive at solutions and make decisions that will positively impact their area of responsibility and the profitability of the business.

Key Accountabilities

Working with contract growers and breeder farmers ensuring compliance of policies and best management practices (including brooding).
Maintaining accurate records of billing, mortality, settlements, etc., in the system designated.
Pulling blood and taking swab samples for flock health monitoring.
Communicating and working with the veterinarian staff.

Working with Hatchery staff, feed company reps, industry professionals, and Primary Breeder Genetics representatives and experts to ensure and deliver compliance changes as necessary.

Manage personal work schedule with farm needs and vaccination schedules.

Responsible to vaccinate flocks as scheduled via water and spray vaccination methods as well as provide oversite during crew serviced vaccinations.

Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
Diploma/certificate or bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum one year of directly related work experience.
Possess a valid Canadian drivers licence in good standing authorizing you to drive independently during your employment.
Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications
Poultry breeding farming experience and knowledge of poultry production or similar agriculture background.
Capability to work independently.
previous experience working in flock vaccination.
One year of supervisory experience
