Job description:


Primary Responsibilities:

∙ Preparing new business or existing business proposals including prospecting and Group Programs.

∙ Meeting annual sales target as set out each calendar year

∙ Marketing clients insurance to the appropriate markets to help secure the best product coverage and price;
∙ Responsible for preparing all schedules and supporting documentation for all new business submissions

∙ Renewals - Organize workflow and final review and accountability for renewal process from start to finish

∙ Back up the account manager with respect to day to day inquiries of the clients insurance needs or questions and fill in when necessary in the absence of account manager and assistant

∙ Advocate on behalf of clients claims with the insurance company when applicable

∙ May be required to remarket; must secure renewal terms from marketplace; and must ensure endorsements are done if there is a change request to the client policy.

∙ Anticipate, understand and respond to the needs of clients, Account manager and Account Assistant to meet expectations of Spruceland service standards;
∙ Comply with company policies and procedures; and

∙ Ability to work independently with little or no supervision


Salary & Compensation:


  • Salary Range: $60,000 to $75,000
  • Commission incentives/bonus structure

Qualifications:

5+ Years' experience as an Account Executive or Account Manager experience in Personal Insurance

∙ Level I General Insurance License is required - Level II General License is an preferred

∙ CAIB, CIP, CRM or FCIP an asset

∙ Computer Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, TAM

∙ Understand AIC, IIBAA and other regulatory board expectations and regulations

∙ Knowledge of personal Underwriting and understanding of insurance markets

∙ Understanding of various insurance products, ei. Personal Home & Auto, Marine, Recreational Etc.

∙ Proven ability to provide excellent customer service.

∙ Proven ability to deal with difficult situations.

∙ High degree of organizational skills


Salary:
$60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
